Stephen Walsh is a Chartered Engineer, Engineering Expert and Health and Safety Practising Expert. He has been working as an Expert since 1984 and has a wide experience of commercial, industrial and domestic cases.
As well as being a Chartered Engineer he has gained MSc Occupational Safety and Health at University of Greenwich, he is also a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, Fellow Institution of Public Health Engineers, Fellow of the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers, Member of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and registered CORGI Gas Engineer in compliance with Gas Safety ( Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 regulation 3. He is a former chair of a British Standards Technical Committee and a former director of the Institute of Plumbing.
Stephen is registered as an expert with the U.K. Register of Experts Witnesses, accredited Law Society Expert Witness and Society of Expert Witnesses. He is a Practising Member British Academy of Experts Founding Member of the Expert Witness Institute (EWI) and gained the University of Wales Expert Witness Accrediation certificate.
He also carries out engineer investigations for Insurance Investigation Companies, health and safety investigations for Insurance Companies and Loss Adjustors throughout U.K.
He entered the profession as an indentured student engineer apprentice during August 1964, and qualified as an engineer in 1969. He continued his academic training and "hands-on" work development to complete his professional qualification when he was awarded his Chartered Engineer status in 1983. He became an Expert Witness during 1984. During May 1999 he undertook the Academy of Experts accredited course for C.P.R. Compliant Expert and the Single Joint Expert.
Since 1984 he has been instructed as an expert witness and given oral evidence in Civil and Criminal Courts.
He has acted as the technical author on various works, including the Institute of Plumbing's Engineering Design Manual, the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineering Design Manual "G" together with the RIBA Specification Handbook.
The Expert Witness duties are carried out to B.S.EN. ISO 9001: 2000 "Quality Management" and BS.EN.ISO 14001: 1996 "Environmental Management" systems to ensure compliance with C.P.R. Part 35 to the Appointing Parties instructions.
